TANECVALMEZ is traditional festival of contemporary dance. Aim of the festival is presentation of high-quality contemporary dance art and bring new audience to contemporary dance. It is a platform where various artists can perform for a passionate audience and get in touch with other artists. It is a festival where the Czech premieres of the dancing shows from abroad are performed. It also provides a space for Czech dance shows and artists – possibility of presentation of the contemporary Czech dance in an international context.
An important part of the festival program are also workshops with a professional atists where dance students from all around the Czech republic can with their role models who can share their experience and knowledge with them.
The festival has been successful in bringing a brand new audience to contemporary dance. It has been an important part of growing dance art in the Valasske Mezirici town and wide neighborhood. The festival is organized by B-Art elementary art school, which has been established in 2012, and since then it is an inherent and important part of its activities.
The contemporary dance art has becoming of phenomenon which helps to form a huge amount of young people and significantly support culture, art and social life. We are glad that our festival can contribute to this aim.
